Vacancy-to-Vitality Availability Tracker

Small Community and Senior Set-Asides

The statute requires a percentage of awards be set aside for eligible projects supporting senior housing (Wis. Stat. § 234.662(3)(e)) as well as those in small communities (Wis. Stat. § 234.662(3)(f)) (population of 10,000 or less) until June 24, 2027. The balance of funds remaining in the Small Community Set-Aside and Senior Set-Aside is shown below and was updated prior to the opening of the Spring 2026 application round. At a minimum, this table will be updated to reflect the results of each subsequent Competitive Loan Cycle.

Regional Set-Asides

The map below shows the service jurisdictions of each Regional Planning Commission (RPC) across the State, which make up the Regional Set-Asides. The counties not served by an RPC collectively make up one Regional Set-Aside as well. Per statute (Wis. Stat. § 234.662(3)(fm)), each Regional Set-Aside may receive no more than 12.5 percent of the funds allocated to the Vacancy-to-Vitality Loan product. The balance of funds remaining in each Regional Set-Aside is shown below and was updated prior to the opening of the Spring 2026 application round. At a minimum, this table will be updated to reflect the results of each subsequent Competitive Loan Cycle.
