The Wisconsin Venture Debt Fund is designed to provide debt financing to growth companies that create new, high-quality jobs in Wisconsin. These debt funds are intended to be complimentary to early stage equity allowing companies to access capital at predictable costs.
WHEDA is providing $9 million to partner venture debt funds including Madison Development Corporation (MDC), Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). The debt funds are expected to generate $90 million in private capital investment in Wisconsin businesses.
