Employer Assisted Housing

Employers have much to gain by launching an employer assisted program through Wisconsin Housing Works. In many communities across Wisconsin, affordable housing is not located near major employers. Successful programs help reduce stress to employees who have to commute a lengthy distance to work. In turn, employers increase staff retention and decrease costs associated with recruiting and training.

On July 12, 2010, the National Association of Realtors and the National Housing Conference will join local and state housing and business leaders to discuss how to improve communities through workforce housing initiatives. To learn more, visit the conference website.

Affordable housing provides a stable environment for your employees to feel secure and connected to their families and communities. Through the Wisconsin Housing Works initiative you can provide a home ownership incentive for your employees, creating an even greater sense of company loyalty.

How to get started

Visit Wisconsin Housing Works to understand the process, access training, identify roles and responsibilities and to design an employer assisted housing program that meets the specific needs of your company and community. This website was created in partnership between the National Association of REALTORS®, the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association and WHEDA.
