What is the required down payment for
a WHEDA Home mortgage loan? A minimum down payment for single family, condominium, manufactured housing and duplexes is 3% of the purchase price. For 3 - 4 family properties the minimum down payment is 10%. Can Mom and Dad (or someone else) give
me a gift to use for the down payment? Yes. Loans with fully gifted down payments of 10% or more will be accepted on single-family properties or condominiums provided the gift donor is an immediate family member or a community-based organization. The 10% can be reduced for borrowers with an excellent credit history.
