WIFrontDoor is a web-based database that includes a comprehensive list of affordable housing units available to low- and moderate-income households in Wisconsin. In addition, it provides information on Homeless services, including rental assistance, emergency shelter and eviction services offered in Wisconsin. This resource is available to anyone who has access to the Internet.
Is there any charge for listing my property in WIFrontDoor? No, there is no charge for listing your affordable rental housing in WIFrontDoor. It's a totally free service.
Which units can I list in WIFrontDoor? You can list only the low-income set-aside units. You cannot list market rate units.
If I choose to participate in WIFrontDoor, what information about my rental housing units can I include? You can include items such as property amenities, rent cost, availability information, and a link to your web site, which may include photos of your property and floor plans of the units.
If I choose to participate in WIFrontDoor, who will keep the information about my rental housing units updated? You will need to update the information you input. You'll be receiving calls from potential renters about unit availability and rents. Consequently, it is in your best interest to make sure that your information is up to date.
If I don't have access to the Internet, can I still participate in WIFrontDoor? Yes. We will include the basic information including property name, property address, type of property, number of units and a map showing the location of your property. However, to add or update information, you will need to use the Internet. If you don't have access to the Internet at your location, most public libraries have computers with Internet access which you can use.
Do I have to participate in FrontDoor? No, it is not mandatory that you participate, but it's an excellent way to access potential renters for your properties.
What should I do if I do not want my rental housing units listed in WIFrontDoor? If you don't want your rental housing units listed in WIFrontDoor, contact your WHEDA Asset Manager and ask him/her to remove your listing.
Does WIFrontDoor replace the Wisconsin Federally Assisted Rental Housing Inventory database? Yes. The Wisconsin Federally Assisted Rental Housing Inventory database will no longer exist.
